Our Story
Across the Ecuadorian coastal plains, you’ll see the traditional stilt homes, standing proud above the grass, built of stiff guadua cane and palm-leaf thatch. Folks who grew up in a traditional Ecuadorian stilt house enjoy them today, in fact, many now middle-class Ecuadorians have a bamboo house somewhere on the coast to live that good life at least on weekends. The acres of plantain and cacao plantation provide an insight into the agricultural lifestyle.

Architectural Design
The highly ecological and climate-practical rooms that you have at the Tierra De Los Abuelos main house are multi-functional spaces used by guests as sleep, work, and living areas.

Historical House Access
Your stay here gives you access to visit the traditional stilt structure designed after the home that our grandparents lived in, which is an inspiration for our name, Tierra De Los Abuelos.

Long Term Rates
We encourage our guests to make this their home. That’s why we provide reasonable rate reductions to reflect our desire to serve. Our pricing tiers include weekly, bi-weekly. monthly, quarterly, and yearly rate adjustments.
